Hey all and welcome. My name is Sierra Cassidy and I am a Canadian smut author here to educate and entertain smut writers and readers. I am 34 years old, have been publishing since 2016, married for seven years, and I am a pet parent to three lovely floofs.

I started writing erotica early in the pandemic but I didn’t publish my first piece until October 2020. Before getting into erotica I published contemporary romance, historical fantasy, and children’s illustrated books. 

Now, I write a mixture of contemporary, paranormal, and omegaverse. Most of my current back catalogue is omegaverse, in part because that’s what I really enjoy writing, and also because my omegaverse stories are my most popular, which means I am much more inclined to write more of them.

My most recent release is Nicky and the Night Owls: Part One which is a contemporary polyamorous omegaverse romance, and it’s my first full length novel under this name. Though I’m no stranger to publishing novels, the process for writing, preparing, and publishing Nicky and the Night Owls was significantly different from previous novels I have published under my other name. 

Even with several years of writing and publishing experience behind me, I found working in erotica to be a very different experience overall. The community, processes, and expectations were something I wasn’t quite prepared for, and it required a lot of important information that simply wasn’t accessible unless you knew the right people.

My goal with his channel and blog is to make more of that information accessible to everyone that wants to write spicy books. Obviously some of this information will still be valuable for people who write other genres, but y’all aren’t gonna be my focus. 

Some of the things that you can expect from this channel and blog is general information on publishing, marketing, interviews with some of your favourite smut authors, talks about books and tropes and sub genres, and of course information about myself and my process. I have a very, very long list of topics coming your way, so get ready to learn!
